Øl Telecom looks back on its participation in eth0:2025 with mixed feelings.

Although we had high expectations and had announced our intention to provide extensive analogue telephony to help shorten the long distances across the event grounds, our services unfortunately did not materialize as planned. In the end, only two telephones were deployed, positioned merely three meters apart. We deeply regret this outcome and offer our sincere apologies to the visitors of eth0 who were expecting a fully operational telecommunication service.

Nevertheless, we are proud of the excellent work delivered by our colleagues at Øl Post, who successfully operated their postal service throughout the event. Their dedication and professionalism ensured that reliable communication remained possible within the camp.

Øl Telecom will take the lessons learned from eth0:2025 to further improve our organization and preparations, so that at future events we can deliver on our promises and once again bring analogue telephony to life.
